Vikram Samwat 2071 Celebrations in the city commenced today with the Turban Competition held at Fatehsagar Lake.

This is the fourth consecutive year in which the Nav Varsh Samaroh Samiti has organized Turban Competition at Fateh Sagar Lake, to kick start celebration of Vikram Samvat 2071.

The competition was open to all age groups. The longest Turban, 3000 meter in length was showcased by Daulat Singh, which is a record as the longest Turban showcased till date has been 2070 meters.

According to Pradeep Kumawat, President, Nav Varsh Samaroh Samiti, 10 people working as Cleaning Staff with the Udaipur Municipal Corporation were honored for their hard work and dedication over the last year.
