Gulabchand Kataria, State Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj hoisted the national flag at Bhandari Darshak Mandap (Gandhi Ground) today on the occasion of 65^th Republic Day.

The program started at 9am with parade and cultural events presented by school students. 36 people were also awarded for their achievements. District Collector Ashutosh Pendnekar recited the message of State Governor.

NCC Cadets presented defensive mock drill and colorful tableaus of various government departments were also carried out. The programme concluded with National Anthem.

For the first time, more than three dozen tableaus were taken out in city areas as form of procession. Business groups and social organizations of the city welcomed the procession.
