Music and Dance performances presented on Debut event of ‘Udaipur Shakti Sundays’, was organized at Fateh Sagar Paal jointly in collaboration with Udaipur Shakti Works and District Administration.

The event also gave tribute to ‘Rekha Kalbeliya’-Murder Victim who died few weeks back in a furious attack at Dudh Talai.

Today, on first edition of events, various dance and music performances were given, which included Bharat Verma’s Heartbeators’ Dance School, Nirvana café and Anarki Café.

The Sensei Raj Academy of Self Defense and Udaipur Shakti Works organized a live workshop and displayed few videos supporting women empowerment.

According to Premila Dixit Nag, a coordinator, Udaipur Shakti Sunday “One motive behind this event is to promote a ‘Clean and Green Udaipur’ and launch an initiative to make it a zero waste city.”

Premila Dixit further added that women empowerment started “Billion Women Rising” activism which was born out of Eve Enser’s grassroots V-Day movement. It spread to 207 countries and was first introduced in Udaipur via the Shakti Caravan’s Udaipur Rotary women dancers on Jan 14 who performed it again at Shakti Sunday along with showing the global video”.

Premila Dixit also added that Rekha Kalbeliya- a dancer girl who was murdered few weeks back,”She endorsed Rajasthani Traditional dance in many countries.”A short video was also displayed as part of tribute to her soul.

“The second edition of Shakti Sundays is expected to be held on Dudh Talai on coming Sunday”said Premila Dixit.
