The most awaiting moment for Udaipurites arrived today when the officials of Water Irrigation Department opened the overflow gates of Lake Fateh Sagar. Soon hundreds of people gathered around the overflow to view the beautiful scene.

In no time, the news of Fatehsagar Overflow spread across the city through new media handles like WhatsApp and Facebook.

The gates were opened after customary Pooja conducted by Water Irrigation Department in the morning. Due to incoming continuous water from several outlets including Swaroop Sagar and Madar, the overflow in Fateh Sagar is expected to continue for next few days.

Udaipur administration including Traffic police is already prepared to tackle the crowd expected during weekends. Municipal Corporation and other civic bodies have installed lights to make the overflow view more beautiful.

LIVE Cameras Fail

Live broadcast of Overflow was unsuccessful to satisfy Udaipurites staying outside the city. Though the initiative of district administration was praised by everyone but due to heavy traffic on SECURUS (company that installed cameras) the server is failing to show any result.
