Adding to the series of activities held in this 150^th birth year of Swami Vivekananda, a street play on the life of Swami was organised yesterday by Udaipur Municipal Corporation at Shukhadia Rangmanch, Town Hall. It was performed by a group Radhika Creations.

In this play artists, through an emotional act, brought into light the wisdom and thoughtful life span of Swami. Vivekananda was born on 12^th January 1863 in Kolkata (Calcutta) as Narendra Nath Dutta. The play showcased that how Narendra got influenced by his Guru (teacher) Ramakrishna and followed philosophy of his life to serve the mankind.

Play also visualized the ignorance and poverty spread across Indian subcontinent and the contribution of Swami in removing the social evils. It also showcased that the reason why Swami Vivekananda is regarded as a patriotic saint is due to his major contribution towards youth of the country.
