Moti Magri, the hillock garden bearing grand statue of Maharana Pratap, situated near Lake Fateh Sagar will be free of charge for both locals and tourists from 11-13 June on the occasion of Maharana Pratap Jayanti.

Moti Magri, the hillock garden bearing grand statue of Maharana Pratap, situated near Lake Fateh Sagar will be free of charge for both locals and tourists from 11-13 June on the occasion of Maharana Pratap Jayanti.

The three day celebration will be consisted of several programs; a meeting for the same was conducted today under the leadership of Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, President of Maharana Pratap Smarak Samiti.

Yudhveer Singh Shaktawat, Secretary of Samiti informed that the program on 11th June will start at 6 AM, by offering prayers and religious ceremonies before the statue of Maharana Pratap on his horse Chetak.

Thereafter, specially challenged children from several NGOs will visit the garden and learn value of Pratap’s sacrifice and his life story. Musical bands of Military, Police and local community band of Dawoodi Bohra will be the main attraction of the event.

Employees of Maharana Pratap Smarak Samiti will be honored for their dedication and efforts.

Shaktawat also informed that the garden is completely no-plastic and no-tobacco zone, visitors will be thoroughly checked on the entrance. “We want support of all locals and tourists who visit Moti Magri to help us in keeping the garden clean”, says Shaktawat.

Yudhveer Singh said that every year they keep the garden open free of cost for only one day but this year seeing the number of tourists, committee decided to keep the free entry for three consecutive days.
