A wave of bliss traversed  across the Hindu community when news of a much awaited visit of Laalan Prabhu to Udaipur was announced yesterday.

Vishal Bawa of the Nathdwara Temple (Shreenathji Temple) was specially assigned the task of informing devotees in Udaipur that  Navnit Priyaji (Laalan) will grace Udaipur with his visit from 14th to 15th July this year.

Rakesh Maharaj, Head Priest at Shreenathji Temple (Nathdwara Temple Chair) sent Vishal Bawa to announce this news at Shreenath Ji ki Haveli, Chhoti Brahmpuri, Udaipur, where devotees gathered yesterday evening.

Preparation begins for Welcoming ‘Laalan Prabhu’ in Udaipur

Vishal Bawa informed, “The visit is scheduled from 14th to 15th July in Adhikmaas (Lunar Month) at Shreenath Ji ki Haveli, Udaipur”.  He also solicited a warm welcome of Laalan to Udaipur, a visit that is being anticipated since many years.  Accordingly, this will be Laalan’s first visit to the City of Lakes.

Swaroopa of Navneet Priyaji (Laalan) is of Baal Krishna, with one leg behind (ghutan tekela), the right hand holding ball of Maakhan (butter) and left hand resting on the floor.  The Swaroopa at present is at Shreenathji Temple, Nathdwara.  ‘Navnit’ refers to ‘Maakhani that Laalan is holding in his right hand in the Swaroopa.

The preparations of the visit and various events have already begun and it is expected that devotees from outside Rajasthan including Gujrat primarily will folk to the lakecity on this occasion.
