On the occasion of Kartik Poornima, a 2-day annual cultural program will be organized by City Palace to save and promote culture and heritage of Mewar and to uphold world living heritage.

 

Promoting World Living Heritage: City Palace to Host various programsOn the occasion of Kartik Poornima, a 2-day annual cultural program will be organized by City Palace to save and promote culture and heritage of Mewar and to uphold world living heritage.

The program that is going to start from 27 Nov, an international level workshop on the heritage of Mewar will be organized at Durbar Hall in City Palace. Continuing with the event, on 28th Nov, a well known Sufi Kathak Dancer, Manjari Chaturvedi will present Radha Raas with the melodious fusion of Qawwals from Delhi at Jagmandir Island Palace.

Book ‘Stealing Gods’ by famous art passionate and author, Ila Pal, will be introduced before the cultural program.

Chief Organizer of this program, Vrinda Raje Singh told that President of Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation, Arvind Singh Mewar has been conserving and maintaining this ancient legacy for decades. This year, the festival is being organized with a long term view to conserve and promote the living heritage.

Kathak and Qawwali program will be organized from 6 pm to 9:30 pm at Jag Mandir. Guests will be invited through invitations only.
