Rajasthan Day Celebrated with Art Show, cultural evening
On the occasion of Rajasthan Day today, various events were organized in Udaipur, including a painting exhibition, puppet show and cultural programs.
Earlier today an exhibition displaying 16 artworks by various renowned artists from Udaipur, Mumbai, Delhi, Kurukshetra, Jaipur, Ajmer, etc. on the theme ‘Culture Of Rajasthan’ were exhibited at the Takhman Art Gallery.

The exhibition was organized by the Department of Tourism in association with the Department of Visual Arts, MLSU.
Prof I.V Trivedi, Vice Chancellor, MLSU inaugurated the exhibition while the Guest of Honour was Ashok Ogra, Regional Director, Discovery Channel (Asia ). The event was jointly coordinated by M.S Rathod, HoD, Department of Visual Arts and D.S Rathod, Assistant Director, Tourism Department.
The evening session witnessed a cultural show, which was organized at the Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal where the famous play ‘Kabuliwala’ written by Rabindra Nath Tagore was presented in the form of a Puppet show followed by folk dances that included Chari Dance, Ghumar, Kachhi Godi Dance, Teratal and a pleasant Qawwali performance.
District Collector Hemant Gera and West Zone Cultural Centre head, Shailendra Dashora were the Chief Guests at the event.
