Rajasthan Day Cultural Evening in Udaipur Showcases Folk Art & Dance
A grand cultural evening at Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal, Udaipur, showcased Rajasthan’s rich folk traditions with Chari, Kalbelia, Ghoomar and puppet performances on the occasion of Rajasthan Day
Udaipur, March 20, 2026 - On the occasion of Rajasthan Day, a grand cultural evening was held on Thursday (March 19) at the open-air theatre of Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal under the joint aegis of the District Administration and Tourism Department. The event showcased the rich folk culture and traditions of Rajasthan, where various folk artists captivated the audience with their enchanting performances.
ADM Administration Deependra Singh Rathore and ADM City Jitendra Ojha were Chief Guests at the event. Deputy Director Tourism Shikha Saxena and Director of Lok Kala Mandal Dr Laiq Hussain welcomed the guests.

The cultural evening featured folk dances such as Chari by Dharmendra Kumar and group, Bhavai by Lumbharam, Gavri by Kesulal and group, Kalbelia by Leela Devi from Barmer, Ghoomar by Meena Devi and group, Chari by Karuna Verma and Terah Taal. Other attractions included puppet performances by Mohanlal Dangi and his team as also a musical presentation by folk singer Moti Khan from Jaisalmer.
The event was anchored by Madhuri Sharma.
