Rally on wheels to commemorate Women’s day

Lakecity witnessed women empowerment on wheels on Wednesday on the occasion of International Women’s day. A number of events took place to commemorate the women’s day. Some were even felicitated for their exemplary tasks in various fields. Narayan Seva Sansthan honoured Anshu Rajput and Meera Vaishnav for their achievements.

Lakecity witnessed women empowerment on wheels on Wednesday on the occasion of International Women’s day. A number of events took place to commemorate the women’s day. Some were even felicitated for their exemplary tasks in various fields. Narayan Seva Sansthan honoured Anshu Rajput and Meera Vaishnav for their achievements.

Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University felicitated 37 female teachers. Udaipur artist Sarita Mali gave a message of woman empowerment through a painting in the zonal office of LIC of India. District and session judge Devendra Kachwaha inaugurated Women’s legal assistance clinic.

The others that celebrated the women’s day with full enthusiasm were UCCI, Women’s chamber of Commerce and Industry, Audichya Samaj Nari Shakti Jagruti Manch, Aishwarya college of Education, Maharan Pratap Senior Citizens’s institute, Samidha Sansthan, Purbia Kalal Samaj Mahila Jagruti Sangh, Rajasthan State Indian Scout and Guide Zonal headquarters, Nehru youth centre, Pandit Deendayal Upadhdhya Smruti Mahila Manch and a lot others.

Mahavir Yuva Manch Sansthan Women’s Forum displayed the women empowerment through a rally in which maximum vehicles were driven by females. Forum President Vijaylakshmi Galundia said that females from various organisations took part in this rally. She also said that prizes were given away for best car decoration.  Jyoti Singhvi, Shashi Siroya and Badi Sadri Jain Mitra Mandal won the car decoration competition. In the count of maximum number of cars Mewar Padmini Group, Rotary Meera and Jagat Janani group stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. Cash prizes of 5100/, 3100/- and 2100/- were given to the winners. In the category of two-wheelers Rana Pratap Group, Terapanth Mahila Mandal and Prerna Bahu Mandal won cash prizes of 3100/-, 2500/- and 2100/- respectively.

Marathon on Fatehsagar lake

Rajasthan Child Welfare Committee, Saanch Foundation and Hindustan Scout and Guide collaborated for the marathon on Fatehsagar lake early morning. School-college girls and women participated in the marathon. The felicitation for the same was done in SIERT hall.

Plantation on Ratnagiri hills by the toddlers

Plantation was done in the name of daughters born between 15th August 2016 to 31st January 2017 by District Administration, UIT and Gram Panchayat, Bhuwana on the event of Women’s day. A video by Abhishek Joshi, Udaipur’s young artist, on putting an end to female infanticide and creating awareness among people regarding daughters was shown to the people present there. The video was named “Betiyaan sukh ka adhar”.  Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari, UIT Chairman Ravindra Shrimali, District Collector Rohit Gupta were also present on the occasion.
