Udaipur, Feb 23, 2026 - The three-day Ritu Vasant festival organised in Udaipur by the West Zone Cultural Centre (WZCC) concluded on Sunday (February 22) at Shilpgram with a captivating classical music recital by renowned vocalist Jayateerth Mevundi and a vibrant dance ensemble Nritya Pravah.
The evening featured Mevundi’s soulful rendition, among others, of raag Yaman Kalyan in Jhaptaal, presenting the bandish "Piya Bin Ratiya", followed with the teentaal composition "Shyam Bajaye Aaj Muraliya" and tarana in raag Sohni "Rang Na Daro Shyamji".
He was accompanied by Pandit Abhishek Mishra on tabla and Tarun Joshi on harmonium.
Celebrated choreographer Santosh Nair presented Nritya Pravah, a confluence of India’s classical dance traditions. The performance opened with Ganesh Vandana, followed by Kerala’s graceful Mohiniyattam dedicated to Lord Vishnu’s Mohini avatar. The devotional and romantic hues of Manipuri enchanted the audience with Radha-Krishna themes.

Soulful expressions in Odissi, rhythmic brilliance in Kathak and the emotive grandeur of Bharatanatyam (inspired by Natya Shastra by Bharata Muni) created a spectacular blend of rhythm, devotion and artistry.
The festival was compered by Mohita Dixit across all three days. WZCC Director Furqan Khan expressed gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the festival.
