On the occasion of completing 50 glorious years of providing eminent education in the field of medical science, Rabindra Nath Tagore Medical College of Udaipur is celebrating a two day R.N.T Gold Fest on 25 and 26 December 2011.

The Golden Jubilee festival will be inaugurated by Central Minister for Road Transport and Highways Dr. CP Joshi and Minister of Health and Family Affairs Gulam Nabi Azad on 25 Dec. at Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal auditorium 5 pm in the evening. The inauguration function will be attended by all present and past faculties, alumni and current students of the college.

Earlier, on the same day a honor giving ceremony will be held to accredit the remarkable services of all former principals of R.N.T Medical College, this event is named as ‘R.N.T Nostalgia’, and will be held at college premises on 25^th December at 11 am.

Honor will be given to former principals: Dr.S.D. Sharma, Dr. K. P. Singh, Dr. J. P. Sethi, Dr. S. K. Pandey, Dr. H. K. Bedi, Dr. S. P. Mathur, Dr. B. Bhandari, Dr. D. S. Rathore, Dr. A. K. Gupta, Dr. N. C. Sharma, Dr. S. K. Kaushik and Dr. A. A. Saifee.

Dr. Shalabh Sharma, joint organizing secretary of the organizing committee said, “This event is to celebrate the 50 years of RNT’s unforgettable journey, by RNT Gold Fest we are also intended to create an opportunity of mass get-together of all doctors and students associated with this college and public interaction.”

“There is a special consultation program arranged for common people on 26^th December from 9 am to 12 noon, so that they can get a chance to consult the Doctors who are here for the function. Registration for this consultation program will begin on 24^th December at college premises,” informed Dr. Sharma.

Besides the consultation program, a special carnival is also planned for the guests on 26^th Dec afternoon at Verdia Farms, Outside Sajjangarh Gate. Dinner and cultural nights for both days is arranged at Rani Village, Rani Road, Udaipur.

RNT Medical College was established in the year 1961 with a batch of just 40 students. In past 50 years, 45 batches: 3258 Medical Graduates and 1258 Degree and 139 Diploma specialists have passed out from this renowned medical college of Udaipur
