'Run for Viksit Rajasthan', Youth Fest on Dec 21-22 in Udaipur

Fitness, youth engagement, cycling rally and cultural activities planned across the district on two years of the State Government

Udaipur, Dec 20, 2025 - On the occasion of the completion of two years of the State Government’s tenure, important State- and district-level sports and youth programmes will be organised in Udaipur district on December 21 and 22. Detailed guidelines for these events have been issued by the District Administration, Sports Department and Education Department.

District Sports Officer Dr Mahesh Paliwal informed that on December 21 (Sunday), the Run for Viksit Rajasthan State-level event will be held. This marathon will start at 7:30 am from Moti Magri to Devali end. On the same day, under the Sports Authority of India and the Fit India Movement, the Sunday on Cycle will also be held, which will include a cycle rally.

From the University administration, around 300 players, including students and Physical Education students, will participate.

Additionally, on December 22, a district-level Youth Festival will be held at the Mahatma Gandhi Government Senior Secondary School, Paneriyon Ki Madri campus. The Youth Festival will include competitions such as declamation, storytelling, poster making, folk dance and singing (solo and group), as well as traditional events related to painting, handicrafts, innovation, agricultural products and the disappearing art forms of Rajasthan.

Sharing this information, District Education Officer Lokesh Bharti said that age group for participants in the competitions will be 15 to 29 years.

Those wishing to take part will be required to submit an application form, along with proof of age, a copy of their bank account details and two photographs.
