Udaipur United Round Table (UURT) is organising ‘Run Udaipur Run’- Marathon 2013, on 15^th September at overflow side of Lake Fateh Sagar, which is jointly supported by Udaipur Lake City Round Table-206. Motto behind this marathon is to raise fund for education of underprivileged students.

UURT have adopted a government school of Badgaon, where the organisation is constructing classes for the students. The association has already incurred around Rs.20 lac on the construction work, whereas now would be preparing Playground for the students, which is expected to incur nearly Rs.5 lac.

In a talk with local media Tr. Deepak Bhansali, Chairmen, UURT, informed this marathon is divided into 5 categories as per age, where winner of each category would be awarded with a cash prize of Rs.11K, Rs.7K and Rs.5k, respectively for First, Second and Third position.

Deepak elaborating on 5 categories informed that, in first category boys and girls of the age group 14-18yrs, in second 19-40yrs men, third category is of 19-40yrs women, in fourth men above 41 yrs and in fifth category women above 41yrs will participate, while 3 winners will be chosen from each category.

According to Tr. Prashant Nyati, Secretary, UURT, registration for this fund raising event are kept free, while spot registration will also be entertained. Marathon is scheduled to start around 7.30am on 15^th September, where participants will be given endorsed vest with batch id and sponsor’s logo.

Prashant further added that in this marathon participants would be taking full round of Lake Fateh Sagar, covering a span of around 8.6Kms, starting from overflow side of lake concluding back at same place.

Prashant also informed that fund received from various sponsors will be used for school, while all the expenses of marathon would be contributed by members of Round Table.
