“Run with National Flag” was the first edition of the Republic Day marathon organised by The Mewari Runners. Republic Day 2019 marked a special day in the history of The Mewari Runners group as the response received from people was overwhelming.

The morning was extremely cold but all the interested candidates gathered at Fatehsagar pal at 6:30 a.m. on 26th January. The marathon was flagged off at 7:30 a.m. after the National Anthem. Prior to this, a zumba session filled everyone with energy. The distance of the marathon was 8.2 km which covered the entire roundabout of Fatehsagar Lake.

The mini marathon was quite a different one from all the other marathons that have taken place until now as everyone ran with National flag in their hands to mark the Republic Day. The successful marathon finishers were awarded by The Mewari Runners team. The brains behind the marathon were Dilip Soni, Kanti Jeengar and Shakti Singh Dulawat and Prakash Mali.

The participating runners were Sunil Kumawat, Mukesh Kumawat, Vikram Solanki, Prashant Kothari, Mohit Joshi, Zubin Haidry, Jitendra Patel, Ritesh Jain, Bharat Patel, Pradhyuman Singh Jhala, Anil Joshi, Dr Sachender, Sampat Singh Devda, Nayan Mehta, Mahesh Mali, Dinesh Nagda, Lalit Singh Solanki, Digvijay Rathore, Ranjeet Singh Rao, Dharmendra Dodiya and Pradeep Yadav.

Each participant could be seen overflowing with patriotism. The pride that they felt in holding the Tricolour was very much visible on their faces as they glowed with love for their country. By the end of the mini marathon, each runner was breathing in more love and devotion for India.
