Environment: It’s our Passport for the Future On World Ozone Day on 16 ^th September, District Environment Committee has organized a small rally to make people aware about the importance of Ozone Layer. Run for Ozone will be organized on Friday 16 ^th September with a view to create awareness about the susceptible subject of environment and impairment of Ozone Layer. The rally will start from Swaroop Sagar Lake in the morning at 7:45 am and will end at Moti Magri. Shelja Deval , the Head of Forest Conservator (South) said that in the rally various teams and organizations will participate including army, NCC, BSF. School and college students, district level officers, senior citizens and volunteers connected with ‘Harit Rajasthan’ project will also join the rally. There will be a small exhibition of herbal plants and inspirational banners with a small puppet show to spread the message of ‘save environment’. The event will be concluded by an essay and a drawing competition and the subject will be ‘Preserving Ozone Layer – Cause and Solution’. On the same day a mass plantation will be carried out in the Central Jail where 51 semal plants will be planted by Anuvrat Committee.
