Scholars of Sanskrit honored in a State level function

Maharshi Kharagnath state level function was held under the aegis of the Nimbark Vaidik Sanskrit Samiti Bhilwara on Dec.4,2012 by the Udaipur Mandal at Bhojnath Shiv Mandir campus at Durga Nursery Road Udaipur, in which teachers and students were honored for their extra ordinary contribution to Sanskrit language.

Satya Narayan Sharma, RAS, Commissioner, Municipal board, Udaipur told that Sanskrit scriptures are the essence of ultimate human welfare. Acharya announced that the parishad’s libraries will be enriched with books on Sanskrit literature by the Municipal Board.

Prof. Neeraj Sharma, head of Department of Sanskrit, M.L.S.U. assured audiences of the bright future of the Sanskrit language. He told them about the schools established at Banswara and Nathdwara dedicated to spread awareness about Sanskrit.

Distinguished guests were welcomed by Dr. K.G. Jangid, Dr. Bhagwatilal Sukhwal, and Satya Narayan Sharma. The Saraswat guest of the function Dr. R.P. Sharma, RAS, Secretary, Municipal Board told audiences that Sanskrit is synonymous with the culture and it can guide us to develop and foster values of life.

Total 16 men of letters were conferred the Maharshi Kharag Nath Award for their consistent contribution to Sanskrit. Madhu Sharma, Principal, Residency School, was honored for her contribution in popularizing the language along with 40 other teachers.

Students as many as 70 were also conferred merit certificates, prizes and Emblems. The function was presided over by Surendra Singh Rathore, Tesildar, Mavli. Participation from whole Rajasthan was a remarkable achievement of the function. The programme was convened by Ram Prasad Jangid, Bhagwatilal Sukhwal, and K. G. Jangid.
