On the occasion of 65^th Independence Day, Sarvadharma Maitri Sangh has been running a series of competitions for the school children.

The month long program, which began on 1^st August, includes Fancy Dress, Essay Writing, Drawing, Speech, Singing and Dancing competitions etc. The competition has attracted participation of quite a few schools across the city.

As part of the programme, a speech competition was held at Alok School today. A singing competition has been scheduled at St. Anthony School on 13^th August. Finally, on 25^th Aug dance competition and closing ceremony will be organized at Sukhadia Auditorium, University Road.

According to Father Norbert Herman, Director of Sarvadharma Maitri, the programs are being conducted with a view of inculcating patriotism within students and to help them become better citizens of India.
