Seminar on Women Empowerment at RMV

150 participants from all over India have already registered to participate in the National Seminar on the topic “Women Empowerment, a Challenge of 21st century”. The seminar is scheduled at Rajasthan Mahila Teachers’ Training College (RMTTC), Udaipur on 4th and 5th February.

The seminar is scheduled at Rajasthan Mahila Teachers’ Training College (RMTTC), Udaipur on 4th and 5th February.

175 interested speakers, educators, research scholars and academicians from Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Orissa, Gujarat and Rajasthan have submitted their papers for the seminar.

Dr. A.B Phatak, Executive President of the RMTTC said, while mentioning the motive behind the seminar, “This institution was founded only for women in the times when education for men itself was a big deal. The basic idea behind its foundation was education, which alone can uplift the women society. Today also those women who have a good designation and an independent stand in the society it is just because of education. A lot work has been done for this cause but more has to be done.”

Seminar on Women Empowerment at RMV

The seminar is based on 6 sub topics: Concept of Women Empowerment, Historical and Sociological Dimensions of Women Empowerment, Role of Education in Women Empowerment, Need for Women Empowerment in the Modern context, Hurdles in achieving Women Empowerment and Measures for Ensuring Women Empowerment. All these topics will be discussed in 4 technical sessions.

Dr. Prabha Vajpaye, Principal RMTTC and the Director of the seminar informed that the seminar will last for 2 days and it will be organized in our auditorium. Brijkishore Sharma, the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Sanskrit Education, Language & Linguistic Minorities, Govt. of Rajasthan, will inaugurate the seminar 4th of February. The participants will also have the privilege to hear views of Prof. O.S Dewal, the former advisor to NCERT, on the second day of the seminar.

On the last day of seminar a valedictory session will be held in which conclusion and recommendations on Women Empowerment will be discussed. Prof. I.V Trivedi, Vice-chancellor Mohanlal Sukhadia University will be the Chief Guest for the session and T.C Damor and Prof. O.S Dewar will be the guests of honor. The session will be presided over by Prof. Divya Prabha Nagar, Vice-chancellor of Janardanrai Nagar Vidyapeeth University.

A pre-seminar Brochure of the papers already received will be printed soon to give a gist of what seminar will consist of and a post-seminar booklet of the selected papers is also proposed.
