Shilpgram Utsav 2014 witnessed one of the busiest day in the fest this year yesterday. With the weekend spirit and as the fest is nearing its culmination, people gathered in overwhelming numbers to shop and witness various performances being staged.

Performances of ‘Siddik’ and ‘Raybenshe’ by performers from Gujrat and West Bengal respectively wowed the audience at Kalangan.

The evening performances opened with a musical piece by ‘Mangniyaar’ folk artists and later followed by ‘Kaavdi Kadgam’. Other performances including ‘Bihu’ by Asam, Pyramid formation by Rathwa performers, ‘Dhol Pung Cholam’, ‘Singi Cham’, ‘Thang Ta’ and ‘Sambalpuri’ wooed the audience as well.

Apart from the above stage shows, Abhivyakti – Art Exhibition in Shilpgram is also attracting large audience.  The paintings in the exhibition are from North East Zone Painters Camp, Award Winner Painters Camp and paintings by well-known artists of the country are among those being showcased.

Artists of Udaipur including Suresh Sharma, Abbas Batliwala, Basant Kashyap and Dimple Chandaat also had their works exhibited in the gallery.
