Shilpgram Festival 2025 Sets New Record in Ticket Sale
In 2025, Shilpgram Festival records over 1.88 lakh tickets sale and Rs 635 lakh + in craft sales; Director Furqan Khan credits Udaipur media, public and tourists
Udaipur, Jan 2, 2025 - The Shilpgram Festival 2025, which concluded on December 31, has shattered records of previous years in terms of ticket sales. The last year event sold a record 1,88,735 tickets, while craft sales crossed Rs 635 lakh.
On Thursday (January 1), Furqan Khan, Director of the West Zone Cultural Centre, Udaipur, said that when he first assumed charge as Director in 2014, the Shilpgram Festival was underway and ticket sales in 2013 were approximately 93,000. He shares that at that point he had resolved to double the sales going forward.
In the very first year of his joining, ticket sales of Shilpgram Festival 2014 increased by 30%, crossing 1.25 lakh. Gradually, the numbers kept rising and by 2018, ticket sales reached nearly 1.48 lakh. Although the count had increased significantly from 93,000 to 1.48 lakh, Khan’s goal of doubling the figure was still incomplete.
This aim was fulfilled in the 2025 event when ticket sales reached an impressive 1,88,735.
Khan has credited this remarkable success to the Udaipur media, local citizens and tourists and expressed his gratitude to all.
