Shilpgram Festival from Dec 21; Free Entry on First Day
Preparations are underway for smooth arrangements for the Shilpgram Festival which will be inaugurated by Rajasthan Governor
Udaipur, Dec 10, 2025 - Like every year, the popular 10-day Shilpgram Festival is set to begin in Udaipur from December 21. The festival will be inaugurated by the Governor of Rajasthan, Haribhau Bagde. Punjab Governor Gulabchand Kataria and Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat will also attend the event.
To ensure the festival is organised smoothly and safely, administrative preparations are underway. On Tuesday, a review meeting was held in the conference hall of the Shilpgram complex under the guidance of the Udaipur District Collector and chaired by ADM City Jitendra Ojha.
The discussions focused on arrangements to ensure convenience for visitors. ADM Ojha directed officials to maintain smooth traffic flow, ensure proper parking arrangements and keep a crane available if required. He also instructed planning for city bus services to ensure easy access to Shilpgram.
ADM Ojha also emphasised strengthening fire safety measures and ensuring deployment of medical teams and ambulances. He instructed all stall owners to keep dustbins and maintain cleanliness in the premises.
The meeting was attended by West Zone Cultural Centre (WZCC) Director Furqan Khan, Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) Secretary Hemendra Nagar, AVVNL SE KR Meena, PHED SE Ravindra Chaudhary, Tourism Deputy Director Shikha Saxena, Chief Fire Officer Babulal and officials from various other departments.
Notably, the Shilpgram Festival, organised by the WZCC, is a unique confluence of artisans and folk artists from across India. The festival showcases the rich colours of art, culture and tradition, attracting thousands of domestic and foreign tourists along with city residents. This year too, various cultural programmes and handicraft exhibitions will be special attractions throughout the 10-day event.
Entry for the general public will be free on the first day.
