Shilpgram Festival to Feature Captivating Stone Artworks
All the artworks are being crafted from strong stones such as Jaisalmeri Chat stone, white marble and granite
Udaipur, Dec 6, 2025 – Preparations are on for this year’s Shilpgram Festival with the West Zone Cultural Centre’s second Art Residency in its final stage. In this art workshop, which will conclude by Tuesday, all major stone artworks created by the artists are now complete. Final finishing, polishing, and detailing work are currently underway.
All the artworks are being crafted from strong stones such as Jaisalmeri Chat stone, white marble and granite. These pieces will be visually striking, naturally glossy and highly durable. The finished products will be showcased at the Shilpgram Festival. They will be placed around the open-air stage to allow visitors to have a close look.
The artisans from Bhainslana have played a crucial role in giving these artworks their perfect shape. Skilled craftsmen from Kotputli’s Bhainslana — Suresh, Krishna Singh Gopal, Dharmpal, Dataram, Anand and Ramniwas — have made significant contributions. Their expertise in shaping, cutting, grinding and finishing is clearly reflected in the final pieces.
