‘Bihu’ and ‘Singhi Chamm’ dance performances wooed the audience on Kalangan at Shilpgram Utsav 2014 on Day Six. Performers from Assam and Sikkim were appreciated for ‘Ghantu’ and ‘Salokiya’ performances as well.

 

Shilpgram Utsav: Day 6 belongs to North East India

‘Bihu’ and ‘Singhi Chamm’ dance performances wooed the audience on Kalangan at Shilpgram Utsav 2014 on Day Six.  Performers from Assam and Sikkim were appreciated for ‘Ghantu’ and ‘Salokiya’ performances as well.

The program at Kalangan was kicked off with ‘Bamboo Band’ performance by artists from Kerala, which was followed by ‘Juju Jaja’ dance piece by performers from Arunanchal.

Shilpgram Utsav: Day 6 belongs to North East India

One of the highlights of Day Six was the performance of ‘Thang Ta’ by artists from Manipur, in which the acrobatics with swords gripped the audience.

Shilpgram market continues to receive large mass attraction on Day Six.  The highest selling pieces from the market were the artistic miniature pieces, paintings and diaries made with handmade papers.
