Like everyday one or two programs become the highlight of the day, today Siddi Dhamal was the complete show stealer.

Siddi, a tribe settled in western coast of Gujarat has a history of more than 600 years in India. An ethnic tribe whose roots are from African-Arab descent was the centre of attraction in Shilpgram Festival. Their popular dance Goma also known as Dhamal made the show stunning.

Breaking the coconut into pieces by their head is nothing so tough for them.

Photos speaks thousands words, and our team mate Akhtar Khan knows very well to prove it. Shilpgram 2010 is over for now till next year but these beautiful snapshots will always keep it alive. Let’s thank the West Zone Cultural Center and each and every one associated with it for making such a wonderful and fantastic platform to preserve the hundreds and thousands of year old Indian traditions.
