Guest Post by Abrar Muhib A photography exhibition of young and talented photographers from Udaipur is currently on display at Baghor Ki Haveli,Udaipur. The theme of the exhibition is ‘National Youth Festival 2011’. Four photographers from Udaipur, who had participated in the “National Youth Festival Photography Competition” have captured the different moods, colors, people and events of the 4 day long festival in their own artistic way through their lenses. Naziya Attari, Madhur Shastri, Neeraj Patel and Irfan Ahmed Qazi treat photography as their passion and devote their time and energy in capturing the vivid colors of life through their cameras. Naziya Attari has a graduate degree in Fine Arts (Applied) from MS University Baroda and is currently pursuing her career in applied arts. She is married and has a 5 year old son and very efficiently manages time between her home and her passion for photography. Her Fine arts background reflects in the different forms she captures in her photography.

Madhur Shastri has a graduate degree in Astrology and pursuing his M.Phil in the same subject. His carefree and unique attitude towards life reflects in his work as well.

Neeraj Patel’s main interest is in painting and he has done his MA in painting from Mohanlal Sukhadia University Udaipur. He very well brings his painting skills to the world of photography.

Irfan Ahmed Qazi has done his MA from Mohanlal Sukhadia University and delivers his unique style of capturing human emotions to the world of photography.

The photography exhibition was inaugurated by veteran photographer Leela Ram Makheeja of Manohar Art Studio on 25th January 11 AM. Udaipur’s world renowned photographers Mr. Dinesh Pagaria and Mr. Rakesh Sharma ‘Rajdeep’ were present at the inauguration. All these veteran photographers shared their photographic experiences with the participants and gave their critical analysis of the photographs on display. The exhibition was graced with visits from famous artists Mr. Shail Choyal, Mrs. Surjeet Choyal, Mr. Akash Choyal, Mr. Abbas Batliwala and Mr. Claude DSouza( from Times of India Udaipur) and lot other senior artists and beginners. It has been a great experience for the participants to share their work with all the senior artists and to get their feedback on the strengths and weaknesses in their work. There are 40 photographs on display ( 10 each for each participant) and the exhibition would continue till late evening on 27th January 2011. Edited by Zaheer Abbas
