The stately tradition of ‘Ashwa Poojan’ (Worshipping Royal Horses) was conducted today at City Palace compound by Shreeji Arvind Singh Mewar.
Royal horses including Rajtilak, Nagraj, Rajroop, Ashwaraj and Rajswaroop were decorated for the proceedings of this cultural tradition.
Compounds including Maanak Chowk, Nagina Badi, Nahron Ka Darikhana and others also were glittering on the occasion.
The program was attended by several elite guests and foreign tourists who expressed absolute excitement and curiosity to know and understand the old tradition of Mewar.
Royal horses, mostly used in military drills are highly adored.
The program was started with the arrival of Arvind Singh Mewar in his royal horse chariot followed by the guards of the Palace and the Royal Band.
