Sixteenth CEO Seminar of IIIE Starts

The business group of Indian Institute of Industrial Engineering (IIIE) had their 16th CEO Seminar on 15 June at Hotel Shereton, Udaipur. The Chief-Guest for the event was Arun Balakrishnan, Former President, H.P.C.L and the seminar was presided over by Comm. Bhaskar M. Bhandarkar, Chairman, IIIE.

The Chief-Guest for the event was Arun Balakrishnan, Former President, H.P.C.L and the seminar was presided over by Comm. Bhaskar M. Bhandarkar, Chairman, IIIE.

After the inaugural ceremony, Balakrishnanan in his speech said that, “Indian economy is stable as compared to the European economies and with proper vision and planning we can be ahead of them on a worldwide basis. We could use the latest technological advancements and cheap labor in our favor for fostering industrial development of the Nation.”

Chief speaker of the seminar, Dr. Karunesh Saxena, Director, College Development Council, MLSU said that, with improvement in sectors like Steel & Aluminum, Automobiles, I.T and Retail we can achieve a good financial growth in comparison to China and European Countries.

He said that even if the present growth rate of 6.5 is maintained, our country can move towards large scale development by 2025. He believes that population of the country will be a big asset in this march towards industrial development.

Comm. Bhaskar M. Bhandarkar said that this institute has been functional in the country since 1957 and it has been providing training to its members for industrial development of the nation.

D.C Garg, President Western Coal Field, L. Radhakrishnan, President, J.N.P.T, Pankaj Gautam, Chief Official, Bhilai Steel Plant, R.G Rajan, President, National Chemical Fertilizer, S.K Jha, President, A.G.C Network Ltd, Asgari Lokhandwala, M.D, S.E.P.L, and senior officials of ninety two companies were present during the seminar.

Excellent Performance Awards were given at an individual and company level. Four sessions were organized in the seminar today of which the second session involved discussion amongst the participants on various technical aspects.
