Smart Use of Energy is Key to Develop Green City
On World Earth Day, Vigyan Samiti Udaipur and Indian Environmental Society, Delhi jointly organized a seminar at Vigyan Bhawan, where experts from various fields presented their views over conservation of energy and nature.

Dr. R.K Garg, Vice President, Indian Environmental Society, being the key speaker informed that Indian Government and Ministry of Earth Sciences collaborating with 190 countries across the globe, has launched Green City project on 44th Earth Day celebration.
Garg further added that concept of ‘Green City’ suggests least use of energy and water resources along with environmental conservation. Cities following this concept with best results will be awarded a certificate of ‘Green City’.
B.L Mantri being prominent architect of city said that rapidly reducing greenery around water bodies is very harmful for town. It can be stopped only with the help of dynamic design of new buildings, so that more and more energy can be conserved.
Prof. Totawat, Scientist & Researcher, Agriculture College speaking on Climatic Changes said “These changes are erupting because we are making excess use of energy, which in turn adds to global warming.”
