Social Welfare Week to be organized from 1st to 7th October

District administration and Social Justice & Empowerment Department will together organize Social Welfare Week from 1st till 7th October in which other departments and NGOs will also collaborate

 

Social Welfare Week to be organized from 1st to 7th October

District administration and Social Justice & Empowerment Department will together organize Social Welfare Week from 1st till 7th October in which other departments and NGOs will also collaborate, informed Deputy Director Girish Bhatnagar, SJED.

He provided the schedule of each day from the 1st till the 7th October in which various regions and issues will be targeted.

On 1st October, Senior Citizens Welfare Day will be organized at 11 AM at Vigyan Samiti, Ashok Nagar. During the event, senior citizens will be honored and provided with health check up alongside seminar.

On 2nd October, ST Welfare Day will be observed at Gulab Bagh at 7 A M opposite Gandhiji’s statue.

Criminal Reform Day will be organized on 3rd October at District Jail during which seminar on positive thinking will be conducted alongside sports & cultural activities.

Child Welfare Day will be organized on 4th October at Anganbadi centers from 9 AM onward where kids’ health will be checked after which underprivileged kids will be taken for a trip to Biological Park from 10.30 AM.

On 5th October, Women Welfare Day will be organized in which seminar on women’s issues will be conducted at Nari Niketan, Chitrakoot Nagar from 11 AM onward.

An awareness rally will be carried out in the city against drug addiction and other social issues on 6th October from 11 AM onward.

Disabled Welfare Day will be organized on the last day of the week, also concluding the Welfare Week at BN College Ground, Physical Training College on 7th October. Sports and cultural activities for the disabled will be conducted.
