Spandan-2014 will be organized by Udaipur District Administration on 14th August on eve of Independence Day Celebration at Zonal Railway Training Ground. In the two and half hours event, dance performances of over 400 artists will showcase complete story of Indian Freedom till Kargil war.

Megraj Lehriya, Coordinator, Spandan-2014, informed that major attraction of the cultural event will be dance act of Sarjan Institute of Kolkata. The performance will visualize story of India’s freedom struggle, through dance and videos. In the act, around 100 artists from Kolkata are performing.

Lehriya added, “To involve more patriotism in the performance, various props like artificial Jail and Coffin is being used along with patriotic songs. During the act, family members of 6 martyrs would be also called upon stage. To support the theme of Spandan-2014, more than 150 Army personals are specially invited.”

The event will proceed with a performance on India’s National song Vande Mataram of Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay which will be presented by artists of Mumbai and Kolkata. The performance is a tribute to all the martyrs of India.

Lehriya also informed that around 25 artists from across Rajasthan will also present number of Regional Dance and Music over the theme.

To conclude this colorful event, a special performance of Krishna Avtar would be presented by artists from Mumbai. A slogan of “Swadhinta Divas KI Badhai” will be displayed around the venue using laser technology.

Chief Minister Vasundra Raje will be chief guest of the event, and appropriate security is appointed on the ground. The cultural program will start at 7 pm.
