The artists from Jaipur performed Sahitya Academy award winner Kashinath Singh’s play ‘Sarai ki ek Raat’ during the monthly theater performance Rangshala of WZCC at Shilpgram.

 

Story of three travelers ‘Sarai ki ek Raat’ staged at Rangshala

The artists from Jaipur performed Sahitya Academy award winner Kashinath Singh’s play ‘Sarai ki ek Raat’ during the monthly theater performance Rangshala of WZCC at Shilpgram. The play depicted the class discrimination prevalent in Indian society.

The play, directed by Mukesh Chaturvedi evolved around 3 travelers from different backgrounds namely, Brahman Pandit, Thakur and Majdur who due to reasons spend a night at a Sarai (motel).

The actors who played the roles were Dheeraj Chandak as Thakur, Mahesh Chinimini as Pandit and Tanmay Chaturvedi as Majdur. The background score was given by Dhinesh Sharma while costume and makeup artist was Prema Chaturvedi.
