A large number of people were witness to the much famed String Puppet Play, “Swami Vivekananda”, which was presented at Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal today evening.  The play beautifully depicted the life and character of Swami Vivekananda.

Organized by Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal, and produced under the joint effort of Ramkrishna Mission, New Delhi and Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts, this String Puppet Play was held to celebrate the 150^th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

The play is written by Dr. Laiq Hussain and Directed by Shyam Mali, Assistant Director of Lok Kala Mandal.

People of all ages were present as audience at the show and praised the beautiful narration and presentation of Puppets.

Since its inception in 1952, Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal has been actively promoting Folk and Traditional Art forms.
