Students rally to spread environment awareness
Indian Environment Society, an NGO based in Delhi organized awareness rally and street theater to promote the upcoming World Wetland Day on 2nd February. The rally was joined by hundreds of students from city’s different schools.
Indian Environment Society, an NGO based in Delhi organized awareness rally and street theater to promote the upcoming World Wetland Day on 2nd February. The rally was joined by hundreds of students from city’s different schools.
The rally started from Overflow of Fateh Sagar. Students from Alok, CPS, St. Anthony, St Gregorios and Ryan International Schools took part in the rally.
According to Dr. S.K Garg, ecologist and vice president of Indian Environment Society, Udaipur, “Around 15 schools have also made Wetland Clubs which will continuously work on Lake Conservation.” After the rally, students presented street theater on the topic ‘Saving the Lake and Role of People’.
Bird Watching program will be held tomorrow on 1st Feb. The program is also part of the Wetland Day 2014 and is organized by Forest Department of Udaipur.
