Swami Vivekananda Jayanti was celebrated today at various colleges and universities of the city. The day also marked as National Youth Day. Here is news of three institutes of Udaipur Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, MPUAT and Meera Girls College.

Vidyapeeth University has marked its foundation day and Swami Vivekananda Jayanti today with series of programs held at IT Auditorium Pratap Nagar. The chief guest of the program was Professor Sanvarmal Jat, Central Minister for Water Resources.

 While addressing the audience Prof Jat emphasized on quality education based on the principal of Swami Vivekananda.

Several competitions and exhibitions were held in the memory of Swami Vivekananda.

Swami Vivekananda Jayanti celebration was held at Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), the day is also known as National Youth Day. A special program Utkarsh 2016 was held in the university campus with discussion, addressing and a blood donation camp.

The chief guest of the program was Dr B.P Sharma, Director Pacific University expressed his thought on Swami Vivekananda, while presenting the economical aspects of the nation Dr Sharma said “Youth of the nation should pledge to expand the Indian culture global, in the coming years 5 Crore Indian youth will work as Knowledge Band Work Force in the world.”

Patriotic songs and video lecture of Dr Pranav Pandya was also presented in the program, the program ended with blood donation camp.

Meera Girl’s College also marked Swami Vivekananda Jayanti with remembrance meeting and other knowledge based program in the college. The program was organized jointly by Yuva Vikas Kendra Chatra Sangh and NSS.

A quiz competition was also conducted under the direction of Principal Dr Rameshwar Ameta which was followed by prize distribution ceremony.
