Student Welfare Society, a student unit of Bohra Youth Association, organised its annual Educational Camp near Gogunda today.

Well attended by approximately 150 students, the camp started yesterday evening at 4 PM when the organisers along with the participating students – of all age groups, both undergraduates and school going, reached the camp at Govind Palace Resorts, 40 km from Udaipur.

As per President of Student Welfare Society Nazneen Mandiwala, senior members of the Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat and Bohra Youth Association were invited on day one as well as today to present their views on the social aspects of education, relating the children with the larger aspects of the Reform movement and through discourse, instilling in them an understanding of various aspects of Time Management, Discipline, Religion and Career management.

Convener Firoz Tinwala, who organised the camp informed that among the dignitaties who were present at the camp and shared their views on the topics above, included President of Bohra Youth Association Zenab Banu, Secretary of Bohra Youth Association Ismail Ali Durga, President of Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat Abbas Ali Nath, Secretary of Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat Hibtulah Attari, Retd Commander Mansoor Ali Bohra, Anees Miyaji, Shabbir Nasir, Gazanfer Ali, Khurshid Sabeelwala, Fakhruddin RV, Abid Adeeb and Sarfraz Ali, among others.

The high point of the event was a visit by Assistant Conservator of Forests Udaipur, Dr Satish Sharma, who had the students and other audience spellbound with his elaborate explanation of the laws of nature, theories of evolution and role of fauna and flora in the existence of mankind.

Students participated in various other fun filled events like camp fire, housie, musical chairs, treasure hunt, etc to make the two day event memorable.
