Teacher’s Day is celebrated in India on September 5, on the birthday of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, second President of India and a great & respected scholar. On this day, teachers are honored for their contribution to the students and hence, to the society. On this significant day, several programs were conducted in schools in Udaipur. The Central Public School celebrated Teacher’s Day in their own unconventional way, not on a serious note but teachers and students swapped their roles for a day and engaged in recreational activities From lining up for morning assembly to taking a class, both students and teachers played their characters very well. Student Daxita Dadhich had taken the seat of Alka Sharma, director of the school, while Alisha played the role of Principal Zehra Ali. Joint Director, Deepak Sharma’s role was played by Sidhharth and coordinator for today Ashwin.
Similarly, Rockwoods High School also commemorated the birth anniversary of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan. Students presented beautifully made cards with greetings and prayers encrypted on it. Teachers of various public and private organizations were honored today at Sukhadia University Auditorium. In a program, organized in the joint collaboration of Dainik Bhaskar Group, Narayan Seva Sansthan and Sahil group, 110 teachers were honored for their outstanding contribution in the field of education and teaching. Chief Guests on the occasion were Subodh Agrawal, Commissioner, Udaipur Division and Prof. I. V. Trivedi, Vice-Chancellor, MLSU. The teachers were honored by presenting Mometo, Shawl, Shreefal and Certificates. The programme conducted by the students of class 11 th

comprised of songs, band and dance performances. Awards were also given for the most supportive teacher, most popular teacher, best teaching style, most elegant teacher etc.
