That’s the Magic of Zakir Hussain:Wah Ustad Wah!
The heaving Sukhadia Rang Manch was contented by the solo performance of tabla virtuoso Ustad Zakir Hussain on the last day of 49th Maharana Kumbha Sangeet Samaroh. Ustad’s peerless stamina and ever charismatic appearance enthralled every spectator. It was a grand musical show a man was showing just by moving his fingers and palms on those pair of percussion instruments known as Tabla.

Ustad’s peerless stamina and ever charismatic appearance enthralled every spectator. It was a grand musical show a man was showing just by moving his fingers and palms on those pair of percussion instruments known as Tabla.
While Ustad was focused on his magical hands, the audiences were beating their own palm gradually on their laps with the mnemonic syllables (bol) coming out from Ustad Zakir Hussain’s tabla. Some funny yet impressive music of train, thunder and few light jokes by Ustad, made him the complete show stealer.
Ustad Zakir Hussain is the son of a legendry tabla master Late. Ustad Alla Rakha Khan who performed in the same event 34 years ago in 1977, Zakir Hussain is attending Maharana Kumbha Sangeet Samaroh second time, he first came to perform in the year 1983.
Today, I won’t write more but would like you to see and hear the great show by a great artist Ustad Zakir Hussain. Here are few exclusive videos of Ustad performing in 49th Maharana Kumbha Sangeet Samaroh 2011.

Maharana Kumbha Sangeet Parishad- organization managing this event every year has some exciting plans for mounting their mission to the next level in one year, most probably before their Golden Jubilee.
The organization committee proposed a world class music auditorium to be constructed in Udaipur, same like Birla Auditorium in Jaipur and a Gurukul in Udaipur for passionate and wannabe musicians.
