After tickling street performances in past two days, The French Group is ready with its main event, ‘The Very French Wedding’, which will be organised with the joint efforts of Mov-India social club of Udaipur. Around 38 French artists will dramatize a wedding ceremony at Fatehsagar on 28^th Feb.

Today, these French artists divided into two groups, Albedo and Colbok, and carried out a rehearsal at Gulab Bagh. The comic act is prepared on the theme of freedom for women along with a motto of cultural exchange between both the countries.

The event on 28^th Feb is scheduled to start at Fatehsagar in the evening by 5pm. In the situational play, a French bride, who has been ordered by the God to find a groom within two hours, will choose his groom of her own style and preference.

According to Veronica, member of Albedo group, such street plays are very common in France and even in metro cities of India, but they are rarely conducted in the smaller cities like Udaipur. To showcase such a play to the public here is one of the reasons of organising it in this beautiful town. After this place, we will be heading to Bundi and Amber to perform.

Veronica added that they have received a tremendous response from the crowd and the local people are also becoming part of play.
