Lok Kala Mandal has been bustling with theatre activity. On the second day of the 3-day theatre fest, “Aahat” wowed the audience with its amazing performance of a love story between Sameer and Madhvi.
The play at Lok Kala Mandal created a memory for the audience by its heart capturing performance through “Aahat”. Chief Guests for the show were Mahendra Singh Singhvi and Dr. Laeeq Hussain. As per director Goverdhan Samar and Honorary Secretary Riyaz Tehsin, the stage act was performed by Khela Natya Sansthan, Chandigarh. The play has been directed by Namrata Sharma.
The story goes this way:
Sameer and Madhvi get married inspite of constant opposition from the families because they do not belong to the same caste. The play is an extravagant display of their love, ego, culture, progress and struggles of life after marriage. Performances of Gorki Singh and Namrata, Bhushan, Nisha, Aryan and Shehzor as main characters were mesmerising.
On Sunday, “Bobby Breaker” directed by Geeta Agarwal will be performed at 7:30p.m.
