Theatre Education becomes Accesible in Mewar region

The artists from Mewar, who eventually reached Bollywood have set landmarks for others to follow”, said Gajendraa Chauhan ('Yudhishthir' fame) when he was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the ‘Theatre Education’ course launched by Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, at Sukhadia Rangmanch.

Dr. Chandrapraksah Dwivedi (‘Chanakya’ fame) said, “To convey the message, is the sole aim of Theater education. Personality development plays a key role for an Artist, and proves useful in performing and fulfilling that aim”.
The special guest Rolly Agrawal, Senior Custom Officer, Gujrat praised the efforts by Vidyapeeth to introduce this course. Prof. S. S. Sarangdevot, Vice Chancellor shed light on the major benefits, importance and procedures to be followed in this coursework.
Ashok Banthia, Artist explained the course structure and briefed the attendees, about the practical knowledge one can avail in the course.
Gajendra Chauhan further added that everyone has an artist in them, it is just a matter of push to bring that artist out. Everyone cannot set foot in Mumbai to improve skills or to test his/her abilities, therefore the need of this course can’t be understated.
The Three month certificate course in ‘Theater Education & Personality Development’ by Vidhyapeeth will be focusing on key areas of the art, which includes – improving imagination and creativity, team work and co-operation, presentation skills, physical co-ordination, flexibility and control over emotions along with responsibility and leadership skills to name a few.
Anyone above the age group of 13 years can join the course, which will be taught by theater artists, experts, guest faculties (experienced figures of film & theater industry).
Dr. Sunita Singh will act as the Course Director, whereas Ashok Banthia will be on the position of Convener along with Mahesh Nayak acting as the Subject Expert.
