Three Day Cultural Fest to showcase Regional Art and Craft
“Bahurang”, a three day fest under the joint auspices of Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (National Museum of Mankind) and Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal, Udaipur is scheduled to begin from 9th January 2013 on the premises of Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal.
“Bahurang”, a three day fest under the joint auspices of Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (National Museum of Mankind) and Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal, Udaipur is scheduled to begin from 9th January 2013 on the premises of Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal.
Divisional Commissioner of Udaipur, Subodh Agarwal will be inaugurating this fest.
Program Coordinator, Sudhir Srivastava informed that this three day fest will showcase various traditional presentations, including the Chhau Nritya to be performed by artistes from West Bengal, Bagh Nritya of Orissa, Rai of Madhya Pradesh and the Bihu Dance by performers from the state of Assam.
Srivastava also said that the fest will also feature a shopping arcade, where approximately 40 shops will offer articles and products made by the craftsmen from various regions in India. These articles will be made available at reasonably moderate prices.
There is NO entry fee for this fest.
