Udaipur, December 21, 2024 - A large number of visitors are expected to attend the Shilpgram Festival which starts from today, December 21, until December 30, 2024. Visitors mean a daunting task of managing the traffic which will include both two-wheelers and four-wheelers.
The authorities have released directions regarding traffic routes for vehicles and designated parking areas. According to Umesh Ojha, Additional Superintendent of Police, Udaipur, the details are as below:
- Four-Wheeler Routes: Four-wheelers will enter Shilpgram Festival venue via the main road. The return route will be through the parking area, past Darpan Gate, via Jain Farm House and then onto Rani Road. It will be one-way traffic system from Badi Link Road to the parking area. Vehicles will be allowed to enter Shilpgram from Badi Link Road. No vehicles will be allowed to park in nearby spaces or along routes.
- Two-Wheeler Routes: Two-wheelers will enter via Rani Road, past Jain Farm House and on to Shilpgram. They will park in front of the Shourya Garh Resort & Spa. The same route will be followed for the return journey.
- Auto Rickshaw Routes: Auto-rickshaws will be allowed via Badi Link Road. They will park in the Shilpgram parking area. Vikram tempos will be allowed only up to Dewali junction.
- One-Way: Traffic will be one way on the Badi Link Road leading to Shilpgram.
- Prohibited Entry: No vehicles will be allowed to enter the venue from the direction of Jain Farm House.
Parking Arrangements:
- Prohibited Parking: No vehicles will be allowed to stop or park between the Shilpgram main Gate and Shilpi restaurant.
- Two-Wheelers: Two-wheelers can park in front of Shourya Garh. No other vehicles can be parked along the main road.
- VIP and Official Vehicles: VIP vehicles and those belonging to the Western Region Cultural Centre, as well as rented vehicles, will be parked at designated parking spots within Shilpgram.
- Four-Wheelers (Cars, Jeeps, Buses, Mini Buses, etc.): Four-wheelers will enter via Badi Link Road, pass through Darpan Gate, enter the new parking area near the auditorium from behind and park there. Exit will be via Darpan Gate, past the main entrance of Shilpgram, and then via Gelda Farm House onto Rani Road.
The Shilpgram Festival is being organised by the Western Region Cultural Centre, Udaipur.
