The classical event ‘Malhar’ organized by West Zone Cultural Center commenced on Friday which was inaugurated by Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria. The first day witnessed serene symphonies by Goan musicians and enthralling performance by internationally acclaimed danseuse Manjiri Kiran.

The two-day event was organized at Darpan Auditorium, Shilpgram and presided over by Divisional Commissioner Bhavani Singh Detha and Center Head Furqan Khan. The event started with the performance by musicians from Goa including S. Kulkarni & Dattraj Malshi on Harmonium, Sanik Welingkar on Flute, Shailesh Ganvkar & Shivram Mopkar on Tabla.

Jaipur’s Manjiri Kiran and her troupe gave enchanting Kathak performances. She was accompanied by Aditi Sharma and Ananya Jain along with Jaffar Mohammad on Tabla, Ramesh Mewal on Harmonium and Hariharan Sharan Bhatt on Sitar.
