The results of the auditions for “Udaan”, a solo-dance competition, an initiative by Purple Planet Events Pvt. Ltd have been announced today, on 14^th May.

Twenty-Five participants have been selected from the age group of 11-17 years, while Twenty participants were given the nod from the 18-24 year age group.

Panil Pokharna, Director, Purple Planet Events Pvt. Ltd said that the selected participants will now perform in the Grand Finale which will be held on Sunday, 20^th May 2012 at the Sukhadia Rang Manch, Town Hall.  The First Three winners will be awarded cash prizes whereas Trophies and Certificates will be given to all the other participants.

The Third day of auditions on 13^th May at the Vigyan Samiti, Ashok Nagar, witnessed 80 participants performing various dance forms like Hip-Hop, Bollywood, Western, Cultural, etc before the judges.

The judges for the auditions were Yathat Verma, Director, Meera Kala Mandir, Vijay Laxmi Galundia, a Professional Event Choreographer and Secretary of Mahaveer Yuva Sansthan (Women) and Nidhi Sharma, a Professional Choreographer.
