The ten day annual cultural fest of Shilpgram will be held from 21^st to 30^th Dec this year. Everything has been planned out in a meeting under the direction of Rohit Gupta, district collector. The meeting emphasized mainly on security and traffic management.

Organized by West Zone Cultural Center (WZCC) Udaipur, Shilpgram is one of the most popular annual cultural fests hosted by Udaipur. The 10 day event pulls both local and tourist crowd who enjoy shopping traditional items and evening cultural and dance program performed by folk artists who come from many parts of India.

The meeting was held on 4^th Dec at Shilpgram’s Kala Vihar. Director of WZCC Furqan Khan welcomed all guests and informed that this year more than 1000 folk artists and craftsmen will participate in the fair. Shilpgram 2015 will be inaugurated by Governor of the State on 21^st Dec at 6-PM.

District Collector Rohit Gupta has instructed concerned authority to keep the one-way system to manage the traffic on both entry and exit of Shilpgram. The two wheel vehicles will enter from Rani Road to Shilpgram and exit from the same route while Four Wheel vehicles will enter from Badi Side and exit from Rani Road. Mini Buses are also permitted as a medium of public transport service to pick and drop people to and fro Shilpgram.

CCTV cameras are installed on various parts of Shilpgram compound to keep vigil on peoples activities and control any law and order situation. Also, a temporary police chowki has been installed at Shilpgram and a police control room inside the compound will also add more safety and security. Officials of AVVNL are instructed to provide uninterrupted electricity service during the event.

An ambulance service will be available for any situation.

The meeting was attended by officials various departments including Police, UIT, UMC, AVVNL, Transport, Health, Sahakari Bhandar etc.
