Udaipur CAs to Celebrate The CA Day on 1st July“Over the last few years, CA Day has gained popularity among the (professional) community. Though the day has its utmost importance since the year 1949 when Chartered Accountants were registered under Chartered Accountants Act 1949, it’s a special day for us when we get opportunity to come together, meet with our families and do some work for social causes,” says CA Sudhir Mehta – President of the Udaipur Branch.

A CA plays a crucial role in maintaining the economic conditions of the country and government authorities. Not only this, the CA is often termed as a task maker in the development of social infrastructure of the nation.

Over the last few years, this profession has attracted many students to pursue Chartered Accountancy as a career. In Udaipur, there are more than 2000 students pursuing CA in the year 2011. Last year saw six students from Udaipur being selected for different courses including CPT, PCC, Final and DIRM.

Nearly 162,000 CAs across the country are registered under the ICAI which has its head office located in New Delhi.

“I would like to wish a very happy CA Day to all my colleagues, their families and the citizens of Udaipur. I would also like to give my warm wishes to our doctors on Doctor’s Day which also falls on 1st July,” said Sudhir Mehta, while talking to UT.
