Hariyali Amavasya will be celebrated tomorrow spreading all colours of spectrum in Udaipur. This year it will be more of a fun since monsoon season is once again blessing the city on the occasion of this event. Without rains, the fun of this fair goes dull.

Sunday 23rd July and Monday 24th July will be those 2 days when the city enjoys amidst roller coasters and a variety of other fun and frolic. Colours of happiness spread everywhere. The fair is never complete without loud sounds of laughter mixed with the sounds of paper trumpets, flutes and water balloons.

Almost 750 stalls consisting of food items, toys, local items, accessories and a lot more will add grace to the event. Merchants from Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and a few other neighbouring regions will be putting up their stalls. Police band is also expected to perform in the fair. West Zone Cultural Centre will be presenting cultural items on this occasion. NCC cadets will be alert in the fair since every year a number of children get separated from their families in the massive gathering. Probably these year all stalls will be kept open until 10 p.m. The deadline last year was 8 p.m.

Parking arrangements have also been taken care of. Devali end, Radio Station and Sukhadia Circle will have parking zones. From Saheliyon ki Badi to Fatehsagar pal there will be hours of fun and festivity. Roller coasters and other swings will be installed at Saheliyon ki badi, Madar overflow point and in front of UIT.

The first day of Hariyali Amavasya mela will see people from all cadres and regions. The entire mela venue is always vehicle-free every year. Second day is strictly for ladies. Great care is being taken for security of public. Police chowkis will handle management with announcements from time to time.
