An International Abacus Olympiad was conducted from Sept 29^th to Oct 1^st, 2012, at all national & international centers of MaxMind, which is a company dealing in supplementary education for kids based at Hyderabad.

The Olympiad was held at two centers of MaxMind in Udaipur, MaxPro Education in Sector 4, Hiran Magri & Divine Academy Opp. J.M.B., Surajpole. Students appeared in batches and shown great enthusiasm for participation in this event.

The competition was held online, with the primary objective of increasing awareness among students about the benefits of the program. Students appeared for this online competition in their respective levels of Abacus.

Abacus is a brain development program for school kids of age group 7-13 years of age and is meant for solving arithmetic calculations. The program develops concentration, speed and accuracy, logical reasoning, spatial thinking etc. and improves memory and mental calculations.
